About this practice

Developed by Dr. Konstantin Buteyko. Focuses on light, gentle nasal breathing to correct chronic over-breathing, linked to anxiety, asthma, and poor sleep.

The science

Over-breathing depletes blood CO2, which paradoxically reduces oxygen delivery to tissues. Buteyko retrains the breath to be lighter and slower, normalizing CO2 levels.
